IMCA is one of the oldest and largest auto racing sanctioning bodies in the United States, having been founded in 1915. The organization sanctions multiple classes, including Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Sprint Car, and Sport Compact, with events held across the country and in Canada.  The annual IMCA Super Nationals held in Boone, Iowa is the largest gathering of short track racers in the country.
